Can a video intercom on my existing bell cabling?
Mostly: modern two-wire systems work on the existing calling cable. We'll measure that in advance, so you have certainty before you decide.
How much does a video intercom cost?
That depends on the brand, the number of indoor stations and whether there is an electric lock or gate control. Send a picture of your current call system, and you'll get a fixed quote before we start.
What is the difference between an audio intercom and a video intercom?
An audio intercom only has voice; a video intercom also shows pictures of who rings the bell. Modern videophones from Comet and Bticino also send that image to your smartphone, so you can open it wherever you are.
Can my old audio intercom be replaced by a video intercom?
Mostly, and often on the same two wires. We replace the outdoor intercom unit with a camera-outdoor intercom unit and the indoor intercom unit with a screen, without hooding or breaking work.
Does a smart door lock from Tedee or Nuki fit on my existing door?
Almost always: both mounting on a standard euro profile cylinder. Nuki clicks on the inside of your existing cylinder; Tedee works with a compact motorized cylinder. Your door and your mechanical key just stay usable.
Does the remote control also work without a subscription?
With the brands we place: the app coupling runs without monthly costs. All you need is the Internet at home.
What happens in case of power or internet failure?
Smart locks from Tedee and Nuki work on batteries and remain locally operated via Bluetooth; your mechanical key always works. If the internet fails, the video intercom works indoors, only the smartphone transmitter pauses.
Can I give temporary access to cleaning aid or suppliers?
Yes. With Tedee and Nuki you share digital keys via the app, either permanently or only on certain days and hours, and you will see who came in when. You can withdraw with one tap, without changing locks.
Can you open the gate with me?
Yes. We connect gate engine and door lock to the video intercom, so you can control everything from one screen or via the app.
Is a smart door lock safe?
The systems we place use encrypted communication and certified cylinders. Your existing lock remains mechanically intact; the smart part only motorizes it. If you lose your phone, you block access from another device.
