Ventilation

Balanced ventilation with carefully planned duct routes

Type D ventilation supplies and extracts air mechanically. For a system with heat recovery, we also discuss the appropriate unit. Wattra starts with your plans, available space and how the rooms are used. You can discuss either a new build or a renovation with us; the necessary duct routes must fit within the building.

Reserve space before finishing work

Show us the available utility spaces, ceilings and shafts. We discuss the positions of the unit, air openings and ducts, and access for maintenance. Tell us which finishes are already complete and which passageways need to remain clear. For an apartment building, we distinguish the system inside an apartment from shared areas; business premises are assessed according to their use.

Heat recovery is not air conditioning

A heat exchanger can transfer heat from extracted air to incoming air. This is not the same as active cooling. Tell us separately whether you want better ventilation, summer comfort or heating. Any additional systems are assessed individually. The label system D alone does not justify promising fixed savings, a set temperature or a solution to every comfort concern.

Include handover and future maintenance

Ask for the equipment, ducts, access and controls to be specified in the proposal. Balancing and any measurements are agreed for the work. Access to filters and maintenance instructions are also discussed. If official ventilation reporting is required, it is arranged with the appropriate recognised partner. Wattra does not present itself as a recognised ventilation reporter.

Request a system D proposal

Send your address, floor plans and a brief project description. Tell us the building stage and who coordinates the technical work. You do not need to choose a capacity or brand in advance. Based in the Waasland region, Wattra discusses projects throughout Flanders for homes, businesses and apartment buildings. The chosen configuration and included work are confirmed in the quote.

Official background

Based in Sint-Niklaas, we help customers throughout Flanders. Tell us your municipality and project stage. We agree scheduling, a visit to your property and any travel charges in advance.

What helps us prepare your quote?
  • Address and building type: home, business or apartment building
  • The rooms involved and your question; equipment type or error message, if known
  • Available photos, plans and access arrangements; do not open an appliance to take a photo

Share the information you already have. Do not open electrical components to take a photo, and do not share passwords. Missing documents? You can still start your enquiry without an attachment.

Good to know

Your questions. Clear answers.

Can system D be installed in an existing home?

This depends mainly on the available routes and the work you want carried out. A finished home needs different preparation from a renovation where surfaces are already open. Send plans and photos showing where ducts and a unit could be installed.

Does every system D installation include heat recovery?

The letter D describes mechanical air supply and extraction. Check separately which unit and heat recovery are proposed. The quote must make clear which functions the chosen configuration does and does not provide.

What determines the price of balanced ventilation?

The unit, number of rooms, duct routes, access, controls and finishes all affect the price. Agreed balancing and any formal reporting must also be clearly identified. Wattra therefore prepares a project proposal rather than using one fixed price for every building.

What work do you need?

Tell us briefly what you need. You do not need to know the technical solution yet. We discuss your enquiry and specify the work and price in a quote.
