Help with a power outage
No power in your home, building or business? Distinguish a grid outage from a problem within your installation. Discuss a focused service visit with Wattra.
How we approach it
Wattra or Fluvius?
We can discuss a fault in your own installation with you. Problems with the distribution grid or electricity meter are handled by Fluvius. In the event of fire or immediate danger, keep your distance and call 112.
No power? First establish where the fault lies
A power outage can affect the public grid, your whole building or one part of your installation. Without working on electrical equipment, check whether neighbours or other rooms are also affected and consult your network operator's outage information. For a problem within your private installation, you can call Wattra to discuss investigation and availability.
A whole installation or one circuit without power
Tell us whether all the lighting goes out, only some sockets stop working or a protective device trips. Note when it started and what work or events preceded it. This description helps us prepare for the call-out. Do not try to restore power by bypassing protective devices, opening electrical enclosures or repeatedly resetting devices.
Wattra investigates your own electrical installation
We investigate faults in fixed installations, including circuits, connections, protective devices and distribution boards. Measurements and findings determine the next step. Work on the public electricity grid is the network operator's responsibility. Reporting a problem to Wattra does not notify the network operator, and we cannot determine how long a grid outage will take to resolve.
For homes, businesses and apartment buildings
Tell us whether the fault affects a home, shop, office or shared area of an apartment building. Indicate who can provide access and authorise the work. This helps us account for access and possible power interruptions. For each service visit, we agree timing, diagnostic charges and any travel costs.
Clear on safety and availability
We handle service enquiries from Sint-Niklaas across the Waasland and all of Flanders, according to the agreed schedule. Call for an urgent fault; the form is not continuously monitored. In the event of smoke, fire or immediate danger, do not touch anything, keep your distance and call 112. We do not promise a 24/7 service, a fixed arrival time or a guaranteed repair on the first visit.

Good to know
Your questions. Clear answers.
Should I call Wattra or my network operator about a power outage?
Contact your network operator for a fault on the public grid. For a suspected problem within your private installation, you can call Wattra. We first discuss what is affected and what support is needed.
My neighbours have no power either. What should I do?
Consult your network operator's outage information and reporting channels. Several buildings being affected is useful information, but it is not a reason to open electrical enclosures or connections yourself.
Can you come today?
Call to discuss current availability. An online enquiry does not confirm a service visit or arrival time.
Can I report a power outage in an apartment building?
Yes. Tell us whether only your apartment or also shared areas are affected. If the work concerns the shared installation, provide the details of the authorised property manager or contact person.
Will I receive an invoice after the work?
Yes. You will receive an invoice after the completed call-out.
Will I receive a work order after the work?
Yes. The work order records the work carried out and the technicians and times actually used.
Do I have to pay if the repair could not be completed immediately?
Yes. The call-out, diagnosis and time already spent remain payable, including where a part, quotation, additional technicians, extra time, approval or a third party is needed. Follow-up work and additional costs are discussed separately.
How do I pay for a call-out?
For a private call-out, we expect payment on site after the work: cash, by payment terminal when available, or with a payment QR code. For a landlord or a VME, we send the invoice by email to the agreed contact person.
Where can I find the call-out rates?
See our call-out rates for the call-out fee, actual travel time, additional time, cancellation and work outside normal hours. The price agreed for an already scheduled call-out remains applicable.
Arrange a focused assessment of your installation.
Tell us the make, model, error message and your municipality. We discuss the options, timing and any diagnostic or travel charges.
