Three things determine where you get into the price fork in a Saint Niklase residence. Each post is separate in the quote.
The cable distance is usually the largest post
In a driving house in the center, where the sign hangs in front and the car is at the back, it quickly rises. In a parcel in Belsele or Nieuwkerken the sign is often already in the garage and you get off faster.
Without control you pay twice
If your car charges at 18h at 11 kW while the oven is running, you create a fifteen-minute peak that affects your capacity tariff for a whole year. Load balancing keeps that peak low, tariff-based controls charge during the cheapest hours, and solar-based controls charge using your own surplus.
Single phase or three-phase: first measure
For 11 kW you need a three-phase connection. If you don't, it's not always worth weighing up: with load balancing on a single-phase connection you can perfectly charge a full battery at night. We measure your margin during the site visit and say honestly when weighing up costs money without yielding anything.

Do I need a three-phase connection?
Only for 11 kW. With load balancing an EV charger also works fine on a single-phase connection: one night is more than enough for a full battery. We'll measure your margin during the site visit.
Does an EV charger increase my capacity tariff?
Without controls, yes. A car charging at full power at 18h while you cook creates a fifteen-minute peak that stays with you for a whole year. With load balancing, that does not happen.
How long will the installation take?
Half to one working day, depending on the cable distance. We plan the AREI inspection afterwards.
Can the EV charger load on my solar panels?
Yeah, with solar control, the car charges on your leftover. Since the meter that runs backwards disappeared, it's been the most profitable destination for your solar current.
Do I have to deal with Fluvius myself?
No. The registration of your charging point is in our price and we will take that file along with the AREI verification.
